Trauma

Nobody gets through life unscathed by traumatic experiences. You don’t have to bear these alone. I work with people who have had trauma of various sorts: from difficult childhoods, mistreatment, or neglect, as well as people who have experienced more recent traumatic experiences big and small. I hold a mindful, compassionate space to witness and facilitate healing for every client.

  • I start with a trauma-informed comprehensive evaluation to understand how best to approach your particular needs.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychotherapy is a highly effective and gentle approach to heal trauma.

IFS is a process of learning about different aspects of one’s experience, that usually includes parts that were wounded, and parts that tried to move on with life despite the trauma. Through IFS we can learn/witness the often unexpected perspectives or memories of different pars and learn how you can care for them and heal them.

  • Neurofeedback targetting brain networks that hold trauma allows them to release tension and regulate the nervous system.
